与0-3岁幼儿互动技巧教师培训课程 Teachers Mandarin Workshop: Interacting with Young Children Aged up to 3 Years

介绍


“与0-3岁幼儿互动技巧培训课程”是推广华文学习委员会(Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning) 、新苗师范学院(SEED Institute)、新加坡华文教研中心(Singapore Centre for Chinese Language)三方合办的课程。   

随着新加坡社会结构的改变,越来越多家长选择把孩子送进托儿所,而且年龄有越来越小的趋势。中西方学者都认为0岁至3岁是婴幼儿发育及语言学习的关键时期,因此给予婴幼儿教师适当的培训对婴幼儿的成长起着重要的影响。 

新加坡约有30%的婴幼儿教师没有学前教育大专文凭。他们只上过 Certificate in Infant and Toddler Care and Development (160个小时)、Early Years Development Framework (16个小时)或 Advanced Certificate in Early Years (600个小时)课程。目前以华文为授课媒介语的在职教师培训,多数针对4 – 6岁幼儿教学的教师,适合婴幼儿教师的培训课程较少。 

因此,推广华文学习委员会学前组委员希望通过“与0-3岁幼儿互动技巧培训课程”,让幼儿教师认识到婴幼儿早期发展的独特性,从而掌握用华语与婴幼儿作口语互动的基本知识。 

这个课程以健全的儿童发展和成长原则为基础,通过对实物的操作,让教师掌握教学技巧,并通过布置环境与设计活动,加强与婴幼儿的互动,促进婴幼儿参与有意义的语言学习。 


Introduction


'Mandarin Workshop: Interacting with Young Children Aged up to 3 Years' is a course organised by the Commitee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL) and co-organised by SEED Institute and Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL).

As the social structure of Singapore changes, more parents are choosing to send their children to infant care / childcare centres, and the age at which they are sending their children is getting younger. Chinese and Western scholars believe that 0-3 years of age is a critical period of infant and child development and language learning, so appropriate training for infants care teachers is increasingly important. 

At present, 30% of infant care teachers in Singapore do not have Diploma in Preschool education. Most of them have only obtained Certificate in Infant and Toddler Care and Development (upon 160 hours of training)、Early Years Development Framework (upon 16 hours of training) or Advanced Certificate in Early Years (upon 600 hours of training). Moreover, most of the current training courses conducted in Mandarin for preschool teachers are designed for teachers teaching children from 4-6 years old, there are hardly any courses for infant care teachers. 

Through the course, we hope that infant care teachers could appreciate the unique development of infants and young children, and acquire basic knowledge of interacting with the birth to three years old.

The course aims to develop infant care teachers' competency on:
- Acute observation on the language skills of the birth to three years old and
- Designing suitable learning environment, pedagogical strategies and teaching tools for the teaching of language skills to birth to three years old.
